The assault took place yesterday at a middle school in the Centocelle neighbourhood of Rome, where a 13‑year‑old student violently attacked a female teacher, prompting a swift police response.
Following the incident, Carabinieri investigators carried out a forensic seizure of the teenager’s handset and also searched his mother’s phone, where they discovered credit‑card details that had been used to purchase the knives employed in the attack.
A forensic copy of both devices was made so that investigators can reconstruct the minor’s communications and interactions prior to the assault, and determine whether any individual may have encouraged or directed the violence.
Authorities are also analysing the boy’s social‑media profile, which was followed by four contacts; video evidence shows he activated a live broadcast moments before launching the attack.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police focusing on uncovering any broader network or influence that may have contributed to the teenager’s actions.
