Brown confirmed on Monday that there were “no conversations” with the coaching staff about his role heading into the game, leaving him in the locker room while the Eagles edged the Commanders.
Head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters that the team “obviously want to get him into the football game because his speed is real,” but admitted the personnel groupings on Sunday did not allow for his insertion.
The receiver, who was added to Friday’s injury report as a full participant with a hamstring issue, was not given any injury designation for the upcoming Sunday matchup against the Tennessee Titans, leaving his status uncertain.
When asked whether he expects a change in his usage for the Titans game, Brown said, “That I don’t know… If it do, it do. If it don’t, it don’t,” indicating he will continue to work and be ready for any opportunity.
The Eagles’ next week’s game will be the first chance for Brown to see if the coaching staff can adjust the rotation to feature his speed, a factor Sirianni highlighted as a key asset for the offense.
