Minister R. Nirmalkumar highlighted that prioritising women’s health is integral to national progress, saying that increased awareness among women of all backgrounds will help achieve broader health goals.
The two‑day conference, organised by CII‑IWN Tamil Nadu, was held under the theme “Building Healthy Women, Healthy Workplaces & Healthy Communities,” and examined the interlinked dimensions of physical health, mental well‑being, workplace wellness and the role of technology and innovation in shaping future healthcare.
CII‑IWN Tamil Nadu Chairperson Amudhavalli Ranganathan emphasized that women’s health must sit at the centre of conversations about workforce participation, productivity and inclusive growth, noting that as more women join the labour force, workplaces need to respond to health needs at different life stages.
The event featured regional leaders including CII‑IWN Madurai zone convenor Hema Satish, CII Madurai Zone Vice‑Chairman Balaji Venkatraman, Young Indians Madurai Chapter Chair Vikranth Karmegam, CII‑IWN Vice‑Chairperson Avanti Natarajan and co‑convenor Visalakshi Kannan, who joined the dialogue on building healthier workplaces.
Organisers said the conference aims to spur policy attention and corporate action toward integrating women’s health initiatives into workplace and community programmes, aligning with India’s broader health objectives.
