Rao inspected several sites under the Bengaluru Central City Corporation and found a new building being erected after the demolition of an older structure without the required setbacks on any of its four sides. He instructed officials to issue a formal notice to the developer and to start removal work immediately after the notice is served.
At the same location, Rao observed a commercial building that also lacked the prescribed setback. He ordered the immediate disconnection of its electricity supply as a punitive measure and to enforce compliance with building regulations.
The commissioner also asked officials to explore converting the wide footpath along Domlur Main Road into a vending zone or a parking facility. To improve pedestrian safety, he directed the removal of walls that obstruct foot traffic and the creation of a clear, unobstructed walkway.
Further, Rao directed the development of Domlur Junction and the proper execution of road‑repair works, including the asphalting of Saibaba Temple Road. He noted that, despite the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) completing sanitary‑line works, the roads had not been restored, and he urged immediate action to repair and restore the surface.
During a visit to the Kodihalli Primary Health Centre, Rao instructed officials to earmark a separate area for biomedical waste disposal and to install CCTV cameras for enhanced security. He also reminded health officials to ensure an adequate supply of medicines to the centre.
Finally, Rao pressed for the swift completion of the wind‑tunnel underpass, which he said is about 80% finished. With only the box‑pushing work remaining, he set a target to finish the underpass by the end of November.
