The event, titled the CII Mysuru Annual Manufacturing and Technology Conclave‑2026, is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Ibis Styles hotel in Mysuru. Organized by the CII Mysuru zone, the conclave is themed “Smart manufacturing. Emerging sectors. Global competitiveness.”
Attendees will include senior executives, technology experts, policymakers, academicians, innovators and representatives of micro, small and medium enterprises. The agenda centers on the adoption of artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, the Internet of Things and Industry 5.0 to boost productivity, quality, operational efficiency and cost competitiveness in the region’s manufacturing base.
A dedicated session will examine Mysuru’s manufacturing ecosystem, identifying priorities needed to position the city as a competitive hub. Discussions will also explore future‑ready manufacturing capabilities and the integration of domestic and global value chains.
Key sectors highlighted for emerging opportunities are aerospace, defence, medical devices and Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM). Participants will consider advanced manufacturing, indigenisation, precision engineering and supply‑chain integration as pathways to growth.
Speakers confirmed for the inaugural day include CII Karnataka State Council Vice‑Chairman and Schevaran Laboratories Managing Director Sam Cherian, CII Mysuru Zone Chairman Utsav Agarwal, past chairman Pavan Ranga, immediate past chairman Nagaraja Gargeshwari and CII Karnataka Manufacturing Panel Convenor Tabrez Ahmed. The programme will feature sessions on AI, automation, Industry 5.0 and sustainability; business excellence and productivity; sector‑specific manufacturing opportunities; and competitiveness targets toward 2030.
The conclave aims to foster collaboration among stakeholders, accelerate technology adoption and chart a roadmap for Mysuru’s manufacturing sector to remain globally competitive in the coming decade.
