According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, the red alert—signalling the most severe rainfall intensity—covers Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.
An orange alert, indicating heavy to very heavy rain, was simultaneously declared for eight districts: Adilabad, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanumakonda.
A further twelve districts—Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Jogulamba Gadwal—were placed under a yellow alert, denoting heavy rainfall.
The department’s alerts are intended to prompt residents and local authorities to take precautionary measures, stay informed through official updates and prepare for possible flooding or disruption.
Hyderabad, the state capital, is also included in the broader weather forecast, with authorities urging citizens to monitor conditions and follow safety advisories.
