The KEA announced that the third‑round allocation process for undergraduate medical and dental seats will open on September 24, giving aspirants a final opportunity to secure a place before the admission cycle closes.
To participate, candidates must lodge a caution deposit by September 28, the amount of which depends on the type of seat they are targeting: ₹1 lakh for government medical seats and all dental seats, ₹12 lakh for both government and private medical seats, and ₹25 lakh for any seat category.
Applicants who pay the deposit will be allowed to enter fresh options between September 25 and September 29; choices entered in earlier rounds will not be considered in this stage.
Anyone who receives a seat allocation in this round must report to the respective college and complete the admission formalities, otherwise the deposited amount will be forfeited, according to the KEA release.
Candidates who have already secured admission to a medical or dental program are exempt from the caution deposit, but fees already paid for other courses cannot be counted as the deposit.
The deposit requirement is intended to ensure serious participation and to streamline the finalisation of admissions for the state’s medical and dental institutions.
