Mettur Dam Holds 83.5 Feet of Water, Discharges Nearly 12,000 Cusecs
On Wednesday the Mettur dam’s water level was recorded at 83.490 feet, well short of its full capacity of 120 feet, while inflow measured 5,692 cusecs and discharge peaked at 11,999 cusecs.

The latest readings show the reservoir standing at 83.490 feet, indicating a significant gap of roughly 36.5 feet from its maximum designed level of 120 feet.
At the same time, water entering the dam was measured at 5,692 cubic feet per second, whereas the outflow was nearly double, at 11,999 cubic feet per second.
