Traffic slowed at key junctions – the Tolichowki flyover towards Nanal Nagar and Rethibowli, Chaderghat bridge towards Malakpet, Shaikpet flyover towards Tolichowki, Banjara Hills towards Panjagutta, Prakash Nagar towards Rasoolpura, and the Panjagutta‑Khairatabad stretch extending to Lakdikapul and the Secretariat. Narayanguda, Moosarambagh and adjoining areas also reported water‑logging.
Additional disruptions included fallen tree branches near the State Bank of India on Bank Street in Koti, further hampering movement.
Traffic police personnel from the Hyderabad, Malkajgiri and Cyberabad commissionerates were deployed at major junctions to regulate flow, while members of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency worked to clear water‑logged spots.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, by 9 p.m. Khairatabad recorded 32.8 mm of rain, with Allwyn Colony at 28.5 mm, Kukatpally 25.5 mm, Kavadiguda 25 mm, Adibatla 23.5 mm, Moosapet 23 mm, Amberpet and Borabanda each 22 mm, Moosarambagh 21 mm, Musheerabad 19.8 mm and Yousufguda 17.8 mm.
Officials warned that lingering water‑logging could further impede traffic and urged commuters to consider alternate routes until drainage improves.
