The Notus remote distinguishes itself with four programmable buttons, each fitted with a tiny display that can be refreshed through software, allowing pay‑TV operators to alter shortcuts after the device has been installed, such as adding new streaming services or promoting specific content, thereby avoiding the need to replace hardware.

Tech4home says the reprogrammable displays also enable shortcuts to be tailored to individual viewing habits and provide operators with engagement data based on how the buttons are used.

Beyond its software flexibility, the Notus combines Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, features backlighting, an RGB front‑LED and haptic feedback, and is built from recycled materials with a USB‑C rechargeable battery instead of disposable cells.

Co‑founder and Commercial Director Graça Cândido explained that the remote was designed to feel natural in the hand while remaining environmentally sensible throughout an operator’s deployment, emphasizing the device’s long‑term sustainability.

The latest Red Dot recognitions extend a streak of more than a decade of consecutive awards for Tech4home, which supplies remote‑control solutions to IPTV, OTT, cable and satellite operators worldwide.
