Eyes series premieres on SonyLIV with stalking prevention story

Malayalam series Eyes premiered on SonyLIV on October 9. Directed by Manu Asokan, its seven episodes follow a team trying to prevent crimes associated with stalking.
The fictional story centres on a software system called Eyes. Developer Vidya works with two mental-health professionals and two police officers to identify dangerous stalkers and prevent violence from escalating.
Shruti Ramachandran plays Vidya. Nikhila Vimal and Athira Patel portray specialists Ayesha and Tanvi, while Kani Kusruti and Prabhu Muralikrishnan play officers Tina Sebastian and Justin. The cast also includes Jaffer Idukki, Sudhi Koppa, Saniya Iyyappan, Dev Mohan and Parvathy Krishna.
The story begins after a case goes wrong, causing conflict within the group and interrupting its work. The team reunites, reassesses its approach and confronts personal difficulties alongside professional demands.
Bobby and Sanjay adapted Anjana Nayar's story. Its intersecting narratives examine controlling relationships, threats and obsessive pursuit, while showing that the team cannot prevent every crime.
Episodes run for around 50 minutes or longer. The technology and incidents described belong to the show's plot rather than a verified police programme.
