Four detained after a man's death at a Pushkin car repair shop

Police have detained four suspects following the death of a 34-year-old man in Pushkin, near St Petersburg. The regional Interior Ministry directorate reported the detentions on October 11.

A guard at an industrial site on Sapernaya Street called police late the previous evening after seeing men dragging an apparently unresponsive person towards a car repair shop. Responding officers found the victim's body.

Police preliminarily believe the man was beaten and taken to the workshop, where he died. Those circumstances remain under investigation. The detained men are aged between 34 and 39, and two had previously faced criminal proceedings.

Fontanka and 47news, citing the police directorate on the morning of October 11, reported that the suspects remained at a police station while officers considered opening a criminal case. The detentions do not establish guilt, which can only be determined by a court.
