
England captain Harry Kane won his 125th cap and scored twice in a 3-0 Nations League victory over Czechia at Wembley.
Harry Kane equalled Peter Shilton’s record for appearances by an England men’s player when he made his 125th appearance against Czechia at Wembley. The captain scored twice and was involved in all three goals in a 3-0 win. The English Football Association lists Kane and Shilton jointly at the top of the men’s team appearance record.
England’s first goal came in the 27th minute when Czech defender Vladimir Coufal turned Kane’s cross into his own net. Kane then finished a move involving Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers five minutes before half-time. In the 57th minute, he headed in Lewis Hall’s corner to make it 3-0.
The goals were Kane’s 90th and 91st for England. He was substituted less than 10 minutes from the end to a standing ovation at Wembley. England secured a third straight Nations League win and had nine points after four Group A3 matches, three behind Spain.
