The truck driver accused of hitting Moskvichka magazine PR director Ekaterina Chakovskaya partially admits fault and denies deliberately leaving the crash scene, his lawyer told RIA Novosti.
The crash occurred on August 11 on Khodynskaya Street in Moscow. Chakovskaya previously said she suffered a traumatic brain injury, a concussion and fractures to three ribs and the base of her skull.
The defense says the driver did not try to flee and did not feel the collision because of the truck’s size and weight. He is charged with a traffic violation that allegedly caused serious injury through negligence and involved leaving the scene.
