Mecca defence pact submitted to Turkish parliament for ratification

The defence agreement between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan has been submitted to the Turkish parliament for ratification, TRT Haber reported.

The Foreign Affairs Commission will consider the pact before it proceeds to a parliamentary plenary vote.

Deploying Turkish forces to Saudi Arabia would require separate parliamentary authorisation after ratification, Hürriyet Daily News reported.
