Andhra Pradesh minister visits Sankar Foundation eye hospital

Andhra Pradesh Industries, Commerce and Food Processing Minister T.G. Bharath visited the Sankar Foundation for the first time on Tuesday and praised its work in eye care.

During a visit to the Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, Bharath praised the organization for providing eye care, particularly to poor and underserved communities. He encouraged the foundation to open more centres across the state.

The minister also called for greater emphasis on research and development and the use of emerging technologies and innovations in ophthalmology to improve patient care and outcomes.

Earlier in the visit, Bharath garlanded a statue of the late Dr. A. Sankar Rao, the foundation’s founder. He also inaugurated the Yeshoda Vision Knowledge Centre.

Managing Trustee and CEO A. Krishna Kumar and senior officials accompanied the minister.
