More than 11.6 million people vaccinated against flu in Russia

Russia’s nationwide influenza vaccination campaign is continuing, with more than 11.6 million people vaccinated so far, Rospotrebnadzor said.

More than 11.6 million people have received flu shots as Russia’s nationwide vaccination campaign continues, the press service of consumer watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said.

The agency said vaccinations are under way across the country’s regions. Rospotrebnadzor chief Anna Popova earlier said Russia is the only country in the world that allocates public funds to vaccinate more than half of the population against influenza.

The latest statement did not provide a regional breakdown or a date for the campaign’s completion.
