A Moscow court has issued nine enforcement writs related to the confiscation of blogger Elena Blinovskaya’s property. The documents were prepared on October 1 and transferred to the claimant, according to case materials obtained by RIA Novosti. The materials did not specify the purpose of another enforcement writ issued by the court.
The Savyolovsky District Court sentenced Blinovskaya in March 2025 to five years in a general-regime penal colony, a one-million-ruble fine and a four-year ban on commercial activity. The Moscow City Court later reduced the prison term to four and a half years. The court also ordered property seized in the criminal case to be transferred to the state and upheld a 587-million-ruble claim by prosecutors.
The confiscated assets included real estate in Moscow, the Moscow region and Crimea, land in several Russian regions, vehicles and other equipment, as well as money held in bank accounts. Blinovskaya was convicted of money laundering and the unlawful circulation of means of payment. She was released from liability for tax evasion because the statute of limitations had expired.
In July, the Second Court of Cassation left the sentence unchanged. Her defence said it intended to appeal to the Supreme Court. Blinovskaya is also undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. The Moscow Arbitration Court declared her bankrupt in November 2024 and opened the sale of her assets.
