Hannah Terry, 45, was found dead at her home near the Sandringham estate on October 4. Her husband has been charged with murder.
Terry was a general practitioner who served on a pool of doctors on call for members of the royal family, British media reported. Her home was in Dersingham, about a mile from the royal estate in Norfolk.
ITV News reported that the accused, 45-year-old Mark Cain, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on October 7. He was not asked to enter a plea. The court sent the case to King’s Lynn Crown Court, and he was remanded in custody.
Norfolk Police said Terry was found unconscious at the home early on Sunday. The investigation is continuing. The charge does not mean that guilt has been established in court.
