A woman in Novosibirsk told NTV that a taxi driver pulled her from a car during a ride. In the same report, another woman accused the man of years of threats and harassment. He disputed her account.

Istomina said the dispute began shortly after the ride started, when the driver objected to the pickup location entered in the app. She told the broadcaster that she filed a police report and submitted photographs of her injuries and an audio recording.

NTV also aired the account of another Siberian woman who did not give her name. She said the man sent threats after she declined his advances, came to her home and workplace, and contacted her through a banking app. According to her, police found no grounds to detain him or impose an administrative penalty.

The man, identified in the report as Artyom Shtiber, challenged her account. He said the woman had shown interest in him before threatening him. NTV did not report that charges had been filed against him. The report presents the accounts as statements by the people involved and the broadcaster.
