Remains of two women found in truck in Nizhny Novgorod, passenger flees

Parts of two women’s bodies were found in a truck in Nizhny Novgorod, while a passenger fled during a document check, the SHOT Telegram channel reported. RIA Novosti carried the report. Police have not publicly identified the dead or announced any arrests.

According to SHOT, traffic police stopped a suspicious GAZelle van with license plates from the Nizhny Novgorod region. While officers checked the documents, the passenger jumped out and ran away. The driver reportedly told police he had been hired to transport an unknown load.

Officers found bags containing human remains during an inspection of the vehicle, the channel said. SHOT suggested the victims might be an elderly woman and her 18-year-old granddaughter, but that identification has not been officially confirmed. The available report does not provide details about where the women were killed, the cause of death, possible suspects or the status of an investigation. Those details remain subject to confirmation by law enforcement.
