Former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and ex-Chiefs player Kyle Long said Kansas City should invite Tyreek Hill for a workout. Their comments on a CBS Sports show are opinions, not an announced team decision.
On CBS Sports’ Set Hut, Wilson said he would call Hill if he were confident the receiver was healthy. Long, who played with Hill in Kansas City in 2021, pointed to Hill’s chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Hill is recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in 2025. CBS’s published NFL injury report lists him as out for Week 5.
A separate CBS Sports report on Oct. 4, citing The Athletic, said the Chiefs were interested in bringing Hill back and had contacted his agent. That report described the team’s reported interest, while the Set Hut segment carried the former players’ views.
