Russia has strongly condemned what it called an attempted terrorist attack aboard a Flydubai aircraft, according to a statement published by the Russian Foreign Ministry. The statement followed an incident on September 30 involving a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel.
According to the ministry’s account, the pilot injured the captain and attempted to cause the aircraft to crash. Several crew members and passengers managed to enter the cockpit, subdue the pilot and land the plane. Israeli officials described the incident as an attempted terrorist attack.
