Russia lifts flight restrictions at three Moscow airports

Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky have resumed aircraft arrivals and departures after temporary measures introduced for flight safety.

Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been lifted at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency said on October 9. The agency said the measures had been introduced to ensure flight safety.

The notice listed all three airports: Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky, also known as Ramenskoye. Rosaviatsia confirmed that restrictions on both operations had been removed.

The agency did not say how long the restrictions had been in effect or how many flights they had affected. The notice also gave no details about schedules after the restrictions were lifted. It did not list cancelled flights or provide figures for delays.
