Russia ranks third in the world for balance reserves of titanium, behind China and Australia. The country has 597 million tonnes, according to the Natural Resources Ministry figures cited by RIA Novosti.

Geological exploration in 2026 is expected to add another 165,000 tonnes to the reserve base. More than 344 million rubles in private investment is planned for titanium exploration this year.

Lenta.ru also cited trade figures: last year, France’s imports of Russian titanium reached a record 129.9 million euros, up from 108.6 million euros a year earlier. India increased its purchases nearly fivefold to 8.2 million dollars.
