Russia recorded more than 688,000 cases of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and COVID-19 in the 40th week of 2026, the consumer safety watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said. The total was slightly lower than a week earlier.
The agency also described flu vaccination as one of the most effective ways to protect against the disease. Its report gave no breakdown by illness, region or age group.
