Russian Defence Ministry says strike hit Kyiv facility linked to Flamingo missiles

The ministry said the site was used to produce and store the missiles. The statement did not provide independent confirmation of the facility’s role.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said Russian forces struck a facility in Kyiv that the ministry says was used by Fire Point to manufacture and store Flamingo cruise missiles. The ministry’s statement also reported attacks on facilities producing long- and medium-range drones.

According to the Russian military, the strikes targeted sites in Kyiv and the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Kharkiv regions. The ministry said precision weapons launched from land, sea and air, as well as drones, were used. The source statement provided no independent confirmation of the list of targets or the Kyiv facility’s claimed role.

The ministry also said Ukrainian forces had previously launched nearly two dozen Flamingo missiles at Russian territory and that Russian forces intercepted 17. Those figures are claims by Russia’s Defence Ministry.
