Unai Simón, Marc Pubill, Pau Cubarsí, Aymeric Laporte, Marc Cucurella, Rodri, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, Mikel Oyarzabal and Álex Baena will start. Belgian referee Erik Lambrechts will officiate, with Bram Van Driessche on VAR.
Spain won its first three group matches: 3-2 against England, 4-1 against Croatia and 3-1 against the Czech Republic. It has nine points, ahead of England on six, Croatia on three and the Czech Republic with none. Croatia comes into the match after a 7-0 defeat by England.
Spain will be without Eric García, Alejandro Grimaldo, Ferran Torres and Nico Williams, who left the squad in recent days with injuries. Fabián Ruiz is also absent after receiving permission to travel to Paris for the birth of his first child. The match closes Spain’s October international window; the group stage resumes in November.
