A Smart Solutions HR survey says Poland has become a permanent home for many Ukrainians; other Polish and Ukrainian outlets have reported similar findings.
Two-thirds of Ukrainian citizens working in Poland are not considering leaving the country, according to a survey by recruitment agency Smart Solutions HR cited by Lenta.ru. The report does not disclose the sample size or methodology, so the figure should be treated as the agency’s survey result rather than an estimate of all Ukrainians in Poland.
A similar figure—65%—was reported by Wepoland, which also cited the Smart Solutions HR survey. The outlet said that 93.2% of respondents were Ukrainian citizens. The data describe the company’s sample and do not, by themselves, establish the intentions of the entire Ukrainian community.
The result points to longer-term residence in Poland for some Ukrainians, but the original report gives no information about intended length of stay or how responses varied by age, region or employment. Lenta.ru also quotes Polish political scientist Marek Miszkiewicz predicting that energy problems in Ukraine could prompt more migration. That is an expert forecast, not a finding of the survey.
