Temporary flight restrictions lifted at Kaluga airport

Rosaviatsiya said Grabtsevo airport has resumed accepting and dispatching aircraft. The restrictions had been imposed for flight safety.

Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been lifted at Kaluga airport, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsiya, said. The agency identified the facility as Grabtsevo airport.

The measures had been introduced to ensure flight safety. Their removal allows the airport to resume accepting and dispatching aircraft.

Rosaviatsiya did not say whether individual flights were affected, whether there were delays, or if schedules had changed after the restrictions were lifted. Passengers departing from Grabtsevo or meeting arrivals should check their flight status with their airline.

Kaluga airport serves passenger traffic in the region. The removal of restrictions means aviation authorities have authorized the resumption of operations that had been temporarily suspended for safety reasons.
