At the band’s 10th anniversary event, frontman Yuri Muzychenko described how the designer recorded a part for the track, created its cover and helped turn one song into a four-track EP.

The Hatters frontman Yuri Muzychenko has described the band’s collaboration with designer Artemy Lebedev at an event marking the group’s 10th anniversary. Lebedev took part in recording the track and designed its cover. In an interview with NSN, he called his musical debut “luxurious for a start.”

Muzychenko said the musicians first wanted to release a small blue record, but that format proved too expensive. They settled on a full-size record and went into the studio to fill it with material. Lebedev recorded his part for the original song in about 10 minutes. The group eventually built the release into an EP of four tracks.

After the collaboration came out, The Hatters faced sharp reactions from some listeners in the comments. Muzychenko joked that the musicians had been forced to feel like bloggers, dealing with audience feedback. The recording became part of the group’s anniversary program.

NSN reported that the track is called “Vazhneishaya Novost” (“Most Important News”). The outlet also said Lebedev would appear at the band’s anniversary concerts. Lenta.ru separately noted that Ukraine had previously listed Muzychenko among people it considers a threat to national security and that he publicly said in 2026 that he had received a passport of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
