Rams rally with two late touchdowns to beat Eagles 24-20

The Los Angeles Rams erased a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20, keeping their record even after four weeks.

With fewer than eight minutes remaining, Los Angeles trailed 20-10 and had 98 yards to reach the end zone. After the defense stopped Philadelphia on fourth down, Matthew Stafford led a 10-play drive and threw a touchdown pass to cut the margin to three.

The Rams’ defense quickly returned the ball, and Los Angeles covered another 79 yards in 10 plays. Kyren Williams finished the drive with three runs, breaking tackles on the final score that put the Rams ahead. Coach Sean McVay called the run gutsy. The win was his first against Eagles coach Nick Sirianni.

The comeback offset a sloppy performance. Stafford completed 32 of 51 passes for 317 yards but had no passing touchdowns and threw two interceptions. He now has six picks this season, after throwing eight in all of last year. The Rams also missed a field goal and committed costly penalties.

Los Angeles’ defense sacked Jalen Hurts four times, held Philadelphia to 172 total yards, including 68 passing yards, stopped all 12 of its third-down tries and forced three fourth-down turnovers. The Rams are 2-2 and next play the 3-1 Buffalo Bills.
