Thirteen people evacuate from burning Barcelona hotel in Ulyanovsk
Thirteen people evacuated from the Barcelona hotel in central Ulyanovsk after a fire broke out, the regional emergencies ministry said. Preliminary information indicated that nobody was injured.
The ministry’s preliminary account said flames spread to the hotel from neighbouring sheds. Fire crews responded under an elevated incident classification and the area was cordoned off.
An emergencies ministry representative later told Rossiyskaya Gazeta that the fire had been contained and the roof had partially collapsed. Work on the roof was continuing.
