Valentina Pergolini, the 20-year-old daughter of Argentine TV host Mario Pergolini, said she left the music reality show Popstars after only a few days of filming.
In an interview with Primicias Ya, Pergolini described her time on the show as a positive experience and said she was sorry to leave. She said she spent about four days filming. She continues to watch the program and is eager to see who will join the new girl group formed through the competition.
Journalist Paula Varela said on Lape Club Social that Pergolini left because of her work on the third season of En el barro, a spin-off of El Marginal. La Nación reported that filming for that season had wrapped and production on the next season was expected to begin soon. Before leaving, Pergolini had advanced through the Popstars casting process and performed before the judges. At an early audition, she sang a Britney Spears song, and later performed a song by María Becerra.
