The singer said passports, cards and personal items were taken; her husband Andreas Ferber retrieved a laptop, while her stage outfits were left behind.
Singer Vanessa Mai, 34, said her car was broken into in Berlin while she was on tour. She discussed the incident in an Oct. 6 episode of the podcast Schön laut with co-host Lola Weippert, 30.
Mai said credit cards, bags, jackets, passports, photographs and personal keepsakes were taken from the car. She said she had left the items inside because she was tired and wanted to save time the next morning, although she normally does not leave valuables in the vehicle. On the podcast, she said she was angry with herself and upset that strangers might now have access to personal belongings.
Mai thanked her husband, Andreas Ferber. While she focused on continuing the tour, he handled replacing passports and cards. He had retrieved an important laptop from the car during the night. Her stage outfits remained in the vehicle and were not stolen.
The new episode of Schön laut confirms that Mai and Weippert discussed the theft during the tour. The singer is continuing her Traumfabrik tour.
