Food safety officer Sangharsh Kumar Mishra inspected New Delhi Sweets in Korba’s Niharika area after a customer-recorded video circulated on social media. The footage appeared to show employees washing utensils inside a toilet.
The outlet’s operator blamed a water-supply disruption and said the practice was an emergency measure. Mishra described it as unhygienic and a violation of food-safety rules.
The establishment was ordered to improve its arrangements within two to three days. Officials warned that its food licence could be suspended if the deficiencies are not addressed.
