ANSES has scheduled the Universal Child Allowance payment for recipients whose national ID ends in zero for Thursday. Social benefits rise by 1.66% in October.
Recipients of Argentina’s Universal Child Allowance (AUH) whose national ID, or DNI, ends in 0 are due to be paid on Thursday, October 8. The date appears in the October payment calendar published by the National Social Security Administration (ANSES). The same date applies to the family child allowance for recipients with that final digit.
ANSES benefits rose by 1.66% in October. The adjustment tracks August inflation, reported at 1.7%; monthly updates use price-growth figures calculated to two decimal places. The calendar assigns payment dates according to the final digit of the DNI.
La Nación reports that the AUH is intended for parents or other eligible caregivers who live with children under 18 and meet the program’s requirements. The benefit has operated for 16 years and reaches about 2.5 million families, or approximately 4.3 million children.
The outlet also reported a change in how school attendance and health requirements are verified for recipients aged 5 to 17. The Ministry of Human Capital said the Health Ministry and the Secretariat of Education would send the information directly to ANSES through a secure data-sharing system, ending the need to submit paper certification in person.
The 20% portion withheld from the allowance is linked to confirmation that these conditions have been met. According to the report, agencies will be able to cross-check the records. Recipients should consult their ANSES account for payment timing and individual benefit amounts, which depend on their circumstances.
