Bali urges residents to save water amid drought risk
Bali’s disaster management agency has urged residents to conserve water amid the risk of meteorological drought. Its warning covers October 21–31.
Different alert levels apply in parts of the island. The agency forecasts light rain in some areas during the final week of October, with no warnings for heavy rainfall.
Residents have been asked to avoid burning rubbish or vegetation and discarding lit cigarette ends. The agency also recommends unplugging electrical appliances and extinguishing incense before leaving home.
