Bangladesh tax lawyers elect executive committee for 2026–2029

Ramizuddin Ahmed was re-elected president of the Bangladesh Tax Lawyers Association, while Md Mazam Ali Khan was chosen as secretary general.

The Bangladesh Tax Lawyers Association (BTLA) has announced its executive committee for 2026–2029. Ramizuddin Ahmed was re-elected president and Md Mazam Ali Khan was chosen as secretary general. The results were announced at the association’s 39th general meeting at the Dhaka Taxes Bar Hall in the capital.

The 31-member committee also includes Md Abu Naser Majumder as additional secretary general and Nurullah Bhuiyan Belal as treasurer. Eleven vice presidents and eleven deputy secretaries general will represent regional divisions and tax bars across the country.

The organization said the committee includes representatives from Chattogram, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur and other regions. Participants said Bangladesh has more than 42,000 tax lawyers. Ahmed said the association would work to protect members’ professional rights, strengthen the organization and coordinate with the National Board of Revenue on training.
