Barcelona complains to UEFA delegate over PSG supporters’ banner
Barcelona reported a Paris Saint-Germain supporters’ banner to UEFA’s match delegate, considering it offensive, EFE reported, citing sources at the Catalan club.
Before the Champions League match at the Parc des Princes in Paris, supporters displayed a banner showing a masked figure in PSG colours cutting through Barcelona’s crest with a chainsaw. It carried the slogan “Parisian Massacre”.
Marca reported that Barcelona’s representatives approached the delegate at half-time. The club also asked for other banners carrying profane insults against it to be removed.
PSG won the match 4–2. In the next round, the Paris club will visit Villarreal and Barcelona will host Aston Villa. Both matches are scheduled for November 3.
