Bernardo Daciolo scored three times as Amazonas beat Santa Cruz-AC 4-1 to advance in the Copa do Brasil Sub-20.
The match was played in Manaus on October 7. Santa Cruz-AC opened the scoring, but Daciolo equalized in first-half stoppage time. Amazonas added three goals after the break. Kadu scored once, while Daciolo completed his hat-trick with two second-half goals.
CNN Brasil reported that the forward has also played 10 Série C matches for the senior side this season. He did not score in those appearances, but earned a place in the squad while Amazonas relied on youth players during a FIFA registration ban.
Daciolo’s father, Cabo Daciolo, ran for governor of Amazonas state in 2026 and received just over 36,000 votes, which was not enough to reach the runoff. Bernardo joined the club during his father’s campaign.
Amazonas will learn its next opponent after the current stage is complete. The 16 advancing teams will be ranked by their results so far, with first facing 16th, second facing 15th and so on. The win over Santa Cruz-AC secured Amazonas a place in the next phase of Brazil’s national Under-20 cup.
