Businessman José Luis López, known as El Turronero and a close friend of singer Bertín Osborne, commented on speculation about Osborne’s relationship with a 28-year-old Brazilian woman named Sofia. At the premiere of Arriba Tutto, López called her beautiful and said he had met her recently. Spanish newspaper ABC interpreted his remarks as confirmation of a romance.
Osborne had previously disputed that characterization. On the television programme Y ahora Sonsoles, he said he saw Sofia only from time to time, as he did other friends, and said he was single after his relationship with Gabriela Guillén ended.
ABC reported that Osborne had attended two events honouring López with Sofia this year, one alongside his family. The paper also recalled López’s earlier joking remark that he would “marry” Osborne and Sofia one day.
