Burnham and Zelensky discuss faster military support before winter

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed accelerating UK defensive support ahead of winter during talks in London on October 14. Downing Street said long-range missiles were among the topics.
Burnham hosted Zelensky at Downing Street in the afternoon. The leaders returned to issues discussed during their telephone call on October 10 and considered attacks on civilians and energy infrastructure.
According to the British government, Burnham reaffirmed plans to develop military solutions for Ukraine. He identified compatibility between British equipment and equipment supplied by other partners as one area of work.
The prime minister also said Britain would continue diplomatic efforts to support international supplies of defensive equipment. Both leaders said they looked forward to speaking again soon.
