Child hospitalised after alleged racist attack in Queensland

A child was taken to hospital after an alleged racially motivated attack at a park in Greenbank, south of Brisbane. Police said a group physically and verbally assaulted the child at a park on Tivoli Avenue between 5:30pm and 6:20pm on Saturday. The child's age has not been disclosed, and police could not confirm how many people were involved.

On Sunday morning, police attended a property on East Sentinel Drive after another suspected racially motivated incident. Unknown people had spray-painted offensive language and prohibited symbols on the exterior of the house between midnight and 9am.

A police spokesperson said officers could not confirm whether the two incidents were connected. Police urged anyone with information to contact authorities.
