Bookings from Russia are coming in, and organisers say they are ready to help tour operators arrange trips. They expect about 30,000 people to attend.
Organisers of Shakira's concert near Egypt's Giza pyramids say they have received ticket bookings from Russia and are ready to work with Russian tour operators to arrange trips. A marketing representative for event company Venture Lifestyle told RIA Novosti.
About 60% of tickets had been sold by October 5, the representative said, with that level reached two months before the concert. Organisers expect the remaining tickets could sell out in the coming days. Tickets are available online only and cannot be bought at the entrance.
The concert is expected to draw about 30,000 people. Organisers estimate that foreign visitors may account for at least half of the audience. The Venture Lifestyle representative said the company was prepared to assist Russian tour operators interested in arranging visits.
