CISCE national boys’ taekwondo tournament ends in Hyderabad

About 350 athletes from 13 regions of India competed at the event. Teams vied for titles in three age categories.

The seventh CISCE National Taekwondo Tournament for boys concluded on Wednesday at the International School in Shaikpet, Hyderabad. About 350 athletes from 13 regions of India competed in the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories.

The four-day tournament featured Kyorugi bouts across several weight divisions. The Hindu reported that Maharashtra won the overall title in the Under-14 category. Karnataka and Goa were champions in Under-17, while Uttar Pradesh won the Under-19 category and the overall championship.

CISCE Deputy Secretary Godwin Daniel Athishtam praised the athletes, coaches and parents for their dedication, discipline and sportsmanship.
