Cobras may enter Bali hotels and villas during the rainy season

The Reptil Asih Tabanan reptile rescue foundation says snakes seek warm shelter and have been found at tourist accommodation.

Cobras may enter homes, villas and hotels in Bali during the rainy season in search of warmth, the Reptil Asih Tabanan reptile rescue foundation told RIA Novosti in a report dated October 7.

The specialists said they had repeatedly been called to remove snakes from tourist properties. The foundation advises villa owners and tenants to keep indoor spaces clean and watch plants and branches that extend from outside toward buildings.

Bali’s rainy season usually runs from November to March, while the dry season lasts from April to October. The start and end of the wet period can vary across the island.
