Kamchatka authorities investigate alleged commercial bribery worth over 1.6 million rubles

Investigators say an entrepreneur agreed to transfer 10% of contract revenue to a department head for catering deals at a construction site.

An entrepreneur from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky turned himself in and became a suspect in a criminal case involving alleged commercial bribery worth more than 1.6 million rubles, the Investigative Department of Russia’s Investigative Committee for Kamchatka Krai said.

According to investigators, from May 2024 to October 2025 the head of the administrative and facilities department at a commercial company from Chelyabinsk Region offered the entrepreneur contracts to organize catering at a construction site in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In return, he demanded 10% of the revenue under the contracts. Investigators say the entrepreneur agreed and transferred money to the department head after receiving payments.

The entrepreneur allegedly involved a relative in transferring the funds; investigators say the relative was unaware of his intentions. More than 1.6 million rubles was transferred this way from June 2024 to August 2025.

Officers of the Federal Security Service’s Kamchatka directorate are providing operational support in the case. Investigators also said the alleged recipient’s actions would receive a legal assessment.
