
S. Dharmaraj has replaced Mohammad Arif as Director of Coimbatore International Airport, bringing experience in airport leadership and aviation communications, navigation and surveillance.
S. Dharmaraj assumed office as Director of Coimbatore International Airport on Monday, replacing Mohammad Arif. Before his appointment, he served as General Manager for Communication, Navigation and Surveillance at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata.
A native of Virudhunagar, Dharmaraj has previously served as director of the Tiruchi and Thiruvananthapuram airports and held several positions with the Airports Authority of India (AAI). He was also deputed to the Indian Space Research Organisation to work on the Gagan project.
He takes charge while AAI awaits several final-stage approvals needed to begin the airport expansion project. AAI officials, airport staff, airline representatives and other stakeholders welcomed him.
