Drone attack damages seven apartment buildings in Pervomaisk, official says

Seven apartment buildings in Pervomaisk in the Luhansk People’s Republic were damaged and the city archive building was nearly destroyed, local head Sergei Kolyagin said. He said no one was injured in the city.

Preliminary figures put the number of shattered windows at 77 across the seven buildings; facades and glazing were also damaged. Kolyagin said the strikes hit an industrial area as well as residential neighbourhoods.

A fire broke out at the archive building and was extinguished by emergency workers. Kolyagin said the immediate priority was to rescue the documents.

RIA Novosti reported the attack and its consequences citing Kolyagin. Separately, Luhansk head Leonid Pasechnik earlier said four people had been killed and three injured across the republic in drone attacks over the preceding 24 hours. Those figures apply to the republic as a whole, not just Pervomaisk.
